MARKET OVERVIEW
Poland’s defence and aerospace sector is expanding rapidly, driven by one of the largest military modernisation programmes in NATO and a domestic industrial base producing components for aircraft, defence systems, and wind energy structures. Defence procurement in Poland is shaped by long qualification cycles, domestic content expectations, and established relationships between prime contractors and tier-1 suppliers – making entry difficult without structured market intelligence and a credible first introduction. Beyond Poland, the region’s MRO market extends across Southeast Asia, where Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam host a concentrated base of internationally owned aviation maintenance operators serving fast-growing regional fleets.
We help international companies navigate both sides of this equation: identifying qualified Polish manufacturers for defence and aerospace supply chains, and mapping the MRO and aviation services landscape in markets where standard databases fall short and direct company-level research is the only reliable method.
HOW WE SEE THIS SECTOR
Our defence work is built on multi-source qualification rather than single-database extraction. When a client needed to identify Polish manufacturers capable of producing components to defence standards, we reviewed close to 12,000 companies across 18 industry codes and three research channels – benchmarking each channel by yield and cost efficiency – to produce a qualified shortlist of approximately 400 confirmed or potential fits. The output was not a database export but a structured argument: who belongs on the list, why, and what the right approach to initial contact looks like. In aviation MRO, we mapped 280 operators across Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Singapore, identifying 65 internationally owned companies by parent organisation and country of origin – a level of analysis that required direct company-level research at every stage.
What both projects share is the recognition that in this sector, the shortlist is only as strong as the methodology behind it. We build that methodology first.
